The concept of hygge is a Danish term that has no exact translation, but you know it when you feel it: it’s about creating a simple, peaceful atmosphere and feeling content and comfortable in your surroundings. This can mean reading by the candlelight, curling up by the fire with a cozy blanket, or making a nice pot of hot tea.
With hygge in mind, we created this collection of 11 Scandinavian-inspired folk designs that are the epitome of cozy when stitched using super soft felt! Traditional motifs like animals and nature are brought to life with perfectly-placed felt in cheerful colors using our raw edge appliqué technique. The raw edge of the felt alongside the bean stitching gives each of these designs a unique, handmade feel.
